hey, so

You know what's fun sometimes? Watching TV shows you haven't seen before.

I know this will sound like a radical idea to many of you, but no, it's true! Really!

Of course, my selection of all the unwatched stuff on my various hard drives was sort of random, so I spent most of my morning rediscovering my love of CSI: NY, and let me just say ( spoilers for the end of season three, squee and also thoughts about my least favorite plot device. )

west wing, csi: ny, meta-esque

You know, it's such a pretty show that I want everybody with everybody. It should be called CSI: Puppy Pile.

penguingal pimped me into it, and I still need to see most of the first three seasons. That's the only good thing I can find about the strike--time to watch the other good shows. :)

Yes! I think when I was first watching it I was shipping Mac/Danny pretty hardcore. Or Mac/Flack. Or Stella/Flack, because HI. STELLA/FLACK. And Flack/Danny/Lindsey is just OBVIOUS. So, you know. Clearly what we need is CSI:NY:GSF. SEX POLLEN IN THE LAB! WHATEVER!

And, yes, I am sort of secretly blessing the strike--it's giving me an early hiatus on all these shows I'd fallen behind on, so I have some sort of chance of catching up. :)

I have asked penguingal for D/s Stella/Lindsey. \o/

CSI:NY:GSF. SEX POLLEN IN THE LAB!

Um, yes please? With Danny sugar on top?

*koffs*

With the whole lab in the mix, I don't think Danny's on top...

Even though I personally am cynical about authority figures, I really like your analysis of that plot device and its problems. I want my heroes to win through their heroism, darnit. And.... there was an episode of Cold Case where the main villain was an Evil Cheerleader, and despite having been a nerdy type and thus having little love to lose for cheerleaders, I felt pandered to, as if my belief in the plot was supposed to hinge on my prejudice against cheerleaders and willingness to believe one would be evil a priori, and that left a horrid taste in my metaphorical mouth.

Yeah, I mean--I don't know, obviously there are bad cops and bad soldiers and so on; I just hate the way that things tend to be written like--nudge nudge, wink, obviously this person is really a scumbag, he's brass, she's popular, whatever. I just got an evil blonde sorority girl, and it's officially making me a little bit crazy now.

On the bright side, Flack made a Dr. Who reference and Danny and Lindsey argued about superhero cars, so. All is not lost.
