Ha! THAT'S why John doesn't have any family he wants to send a message to--THEY'RE A THOUSAND YEARS IN THE FUTURE. And his sometimes-robotic demeanor is merely a result of waiting for his earbug translator to catch up to what people are saying, combined with a stern sense of being on his Best Behavior around the nearly-prehistoric savages. Yes! John is Ivan!

...Man, doesn't that cast his relationship to Rodney in a whole new light... *g*

I read some of the others and the David/Colby was so them in canon and the Gil/Nick was cute as well. I miss that Gil in canon.
