Dead Zone Photo Challenge Story

A mere two weeks late, my story for the Dead Zone Photo Challenge is finally up.

In addition to apologizing for lateness, I feel I ought to apologize for duplicating the name of Journey's well-known and lovely due South story: unfortunately, it's the only title that worked here, and this story has been ornery enough that I am not prepared to ( Read more... )

Okay, YOU! Only YOU could write a story about children being murdered that leaves me jumping and squealing by the end of it. You are NOT funny, missy. Not funny at ALL.

Hey, hey, hey. Only one child was actually murdered. Don't get all melodramatic.

That was a good read! I thought you had good detail and character work, and excellent build and pacing on the plot. You also turned some lines I really enjoyed, like this one: Johnny sat very still as Sarah's gaze came back to rest on him, and tried not to look like he'd be wagging his tail if he had one. Thanks for sharing!

Really very good. The inside of Johnny's head is a scary, scary place; you portray it well and Walt's reaction to the experience works beautifully. A really harsh scenario, but handled well. I loved this.

Thanks, I'm glad this worked for you! It was a really weird and difficult story to write, so I'm glad it came out well.

I laughed, I cried; it's everything fic should be. You're so good at this. Which is good, since my talents run more toward reading. We balance (rather unevenly, I suppose, but whatever). :-) Yay for being done!

Thank you! Writing wouldn't be nearly as much fun if no one wanted to read. ;)

And yes, VERY YAY for being done!
