Oh! I really liked this. I had to laugh at, “What do you care, you're quitting anyway.” It surprised me a little that it was Stella behind him with her heels clicking on the marble floor and her saying, "Ray, Ray, Ray," but it worked very well.

The heels and the "Ray, Ray, Ray" were discussed, believe me, but I got to wondering if the "Ray, Ray, Ray" was actually a Fraser Thing or a Ray Thing, so took it out for a spin. Thanks.

Sorry I didn't reply to your email earlier - I've been away for the weekend and got back this evening. But seriously, you didn't need any more help, this is lovely. The kind of closure that we needed between Stella and Ray in canon, but never got. The new ending is great - just the kind of dreadful lawyer jokes Ray would tell.

I don't think the tenses overwhelmed me. Not much, anyway. Although if my tenses turn out to be broken now, I can blame you, right? ;-)

Busy getting your own story done, which I haven't had time to comment on but loved. And blame away (I still can't believe I was that off that often).

Thank you again. Your advice was right on the mark. This challenge was a wonderful idea!

Thank you. I admit that Stella doesn't usually get much sympathy from me, so I thought it was overdue. Besides, I think I'm kinda going to be blasting her a bit in the next one so I owed her one :->

Aw, this is great! It put a big smile on my face. Because I do believe Ray and Stella could both actually get over each other and treat each other like friends again, which is what they were in the very beginning.

(If you want to fix typos, look for "lets" that should be "let's" and it's" that should be "its"...and "Councilor," which should be "Counselor." A councilor is a member of a council. However, a lawyer is called a counselor [properly, counselor-at-law] because she or he gives legal counsel.)

Took about thirty years to get from peeing in a bank to wanting her happy with Vecchio. At least one leg of the trip was over.

That last line is superb! The title was a stroke of genius. I love this Ray and Stella...brava!

The last line was a killer - changed about a dozen times before Ifelt right about it. Thanks.

I enjoyed this! it’s a good thing I'm speechless, because the first thing out of my mouth would have gotten me smacked, and the second thing would have gotten her arrested for breaking my jaw. *laughs* Ray and Stella, woohoo!

And how much do I love Francesca blaming Stella for divorcing Ray and letting him turn Fraser gay. I can actually picture Stella and Ray upstaging each other with a series of more and more outrageous lawyer jokes.

I'd turn gay for Ray, if I was male (Sounds like an election slogan - I'm Gay for Ray!)

And I think there's an Icon in that...
