Guest rec: Rarepairs revisited II

Things I have learned this week: many of the bookmarks from back when I first wandered into due South fandom are now dead. Thanks, Geocities! Also, I've learned that my reading tastes have changed somewhat, but I'm going to go ahead and rec at least one that younger-me liked more than current-me does -- and yes, that's partly because most of ( Read more... )

I'm just going to say that I love "three lone lorn creatures" with all it's healing through sex and angst factor... especially when Ray had to leave his gun at the border when scaring the hell out of Turnbull's lovely exes.

If you like (exponentially) fucked up K/T, I'd suggest ... now I try to think it, "Beautiful Oblivion" is pretty amazing. The author was on geosites, so if you can't find it in the dsa, drop me a note and I'll drop you my backup. [probably deserves a couple of warnings if I ever figure out what I am warning for] but otherwise angsty, sexy and disturbed if you like that kind of thing.

Great recs for feeding my lovely slashy little thoughts :-) and some new excitements for extreme happy!maaking

Angst and healing sex -- warnings to some, enticements to others. I figured it was best to be clear what readers were getting into.

Oh, yes! That's the one where Turnbull had gone undercover pre-series, and it'd gone incredibly wrong, yes? *curses geocities some more* Upon investigation, it hasn't been archived on dsa, due slash, or AO3, but I did find it on the wayback machine. \re-reading/

Thank you!

YAY! Thank you very kindly for the rec! &hearts

And YAY! for rare pairs! I love how (as with crack) DS authors can take the most unlikeliest pairing and turn you into a believer.

Thank you kindly for posting the awesome story!

Aren't they fun? I love how many dS authors will take a truly random pairing and, as you said, absolutely sell it. \mix n match/
