I've read a ton of good first time fics but they almost always end right after. I'm looking for fics that go into what happens next. Ones that either start out with them already together or if they get together at the beginning there's some more fic afterwards showing them as a couple. To make this request a bit trickier, I have a few conditions

The story which immediately springs to mind, for me, is katallison's Go Gentle. Which, I should warn you right now, is about Fraser dying from cancer, and Ray Vecchio coming to Canada for a final visit. It's probably my favorite portrayal of the Fraser/Kowalski established relationship as rock solid and intensely private. It's also, obviously, a terrifically angsty and heartbreaking story.

Thank you got the rec. It really is a great story. I normally hate sad endings, but I still enjoyed Go Gentle because the writing was just that good.

I wrote a fic that might be kinda what you're looking for--it's called "The Minute After," and the whole premise is that it starts right after Fraser gets up the nerve to make a Big Gay Gesture--in other words, right at the point where a lot of first-time fics end.
