New Year and a New way to get involved with ds_meta

Happy New Year everyone. This comm has been rather quiet but hopefully we can change that.

Some time ago sageness suggested that what might be useful for our newer fans (and veen our older ones) was if we had recs or rec challenges of older meta. There is some awesome older meta out there that we may never have seen. Hopefully it might encourage new ( Read more... )

Hey, this is a really neat idea! I'm really bad at keeping track of meta, but I can certainly think of three or four rec-worthy posts that I'd like to spotlight. Now, finding them again is going to be the tricky part...

THIS WEEK IN DUE SOUTH META HISTORY...

Totem Animals: Fraser, RayV and RayK, Totem Animals: Frannie, Victoria and Turnbull, Totem Animal: Thatcher by xtricks

This post is about what kind of animals the characters would be would be based on how their character traits are similar to certain animals.

This post is awesome and worth checking out because it really points out different aspects of each character and the totem animals really fit.

I hope this is the format you wanted.

Aingeal, do you want these to be separate posts to ds_meta? I think maybe they'd get more attention that way, but I don't know what you prefer.

That's the idea. If each has a post of its own that might help encourage discussion. I might edit my original post to reflect that.

That is the format, yes.

The idea is to make your rec a top level post so people can discuss in the comments.

We also have a broad general theme for each lot of recs and the current one is: episodes.

Hope that clears things up. I'm glad you like the idea though and I hope you enjoy the meta reuslts. Yay meta :-)
