Oh, I love this! It's great! You have their voices down to perfect and I like the history bits - reading is so informative ::grins::

I'm glad you liked it so much - if I recall correctly it was your prompt, so that's great. Also yes, reading is very informative (hee!).

oh! this is so lovely! it's obvious there's solid research for the historical background, and that makes the story such a rare delight. it's amazing how well you made them come together despite their being on different sides; their spot-on voices make me forget that they're different here than in canon when they're a duet.
and i love the ending section -- i love that Maggie loves her brother and his mate regardless of the times and conventions ;D
thank you for sharing this! ♥

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed the historical part of it so much, and I'm glad their voices came through despite the slightly different environment.

It's raining outside and I have a bit of a hangover - but this was the perfect feel-good comfort fic I needed. I loved how you brought Maggie into this; the last letter makes me want to snuggle all four of them. *sighs*

Heh, I'm glad it made you feel better. I changed the epilogue to the letter from something else just before I wrote it, so it's good the new version is probably much better than I was going to do.

Thanks. I seem to have this aversion to using a normal 3rd person narrative for stories, but I'm glad it worked out all right here.

This is very good. The Ray and Fraser voices are spot on and the details about the war are integrated smoothly. Great job!

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoyed it. I tried not to overwhelm everyone with all the history, so it's good that it seems to have worked pretty well.
