Ray's superpower of being able to stalk the ones he loves -- including the GTO -- through space and time fits him beautifully. I love his voice and the choices he makes, holding off on getting Fraser tangled up in his affection until he has to admit that they're already enmeshed.

That ending is perfectly right. Fraser's too broken for anything more. Kudos.

And Steve, ha!

Oh, God, that was good. It's a story that relies on the supernatural to tell, but isn't telling a story about the supernatural. It's just using the supernatural to develop the characters into these wonderful, gorgeous deep things.

Fraser is cautious in unexpected ways. Ben runs toward everything.

Just, so succinct. Everything about wee!Ben was adorable, but that sentence just summed up what Caroline's death did to him.

Fantastic job.

i was so floored by this comment, because that's EXACTLY what i hoped for my story: that the magic wouldn't feel arbitrary, and would support the characters. i'm SO very glad you thought so.

(and OMG, thank you x 1,000 for the rec in your journal. i was VERY touched by that. &hearts)

BOOM! THAT WAS AWESOME! This fic just laid the SMACKDOWN! Eat it, Team Reality! BIFF! POW! THWOCK!

No, seriously. This one gets my vote for best of the match so far. I loved the kid Benton and the time-traveling concept and just the execution of the whole thing. Fraser still having the glove was brilliant. God, this is just one of those stories I wish I had written, it's got everything. Just the right kind of emotion and drama and deft language and a pitch-perfect fantasy element.

BIG WIN, this one. <3
