What I Like About the Fanwork so far: That I believe I have the composition figured out! It's totally different than what I originally envisioned, but I really love it
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: uhm, I worked on it while vacationing at the lake this week, where my only internet was phone, so photo refs were TINY
Anything Else: just, it feels really good to have progress made. And it creeped out folks who saw it, so yay! It definitely needs work, and some (hopefully minor) shifts, but I think I'm on the right track

oh, Hazel it's SO COOL, if I do say so myself :) Not a triptych anymore, but encompasses more of the show. Once I get some better refs, I'm gonna work on it more and get a draft to beta so I can see what she thinks is working and how to improve it.

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I love the idea, and the worldbuilding. And yay progress!
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: it's become obvious that this fic will be *wait for it* longer than anticipated. To the point where I'm not sure I will get it done in time
Anything Else: I'm annoyed and pleased to have the "fic too long" trouble, I guess. We'll see - I am kidlet-free this week, so maybe I'll have energy to write a lot? But even if it isn't done in time, I like it enough to write anyhow, which is good

*eyeroll, mostly at self* Yeah, I thought after keeping it close to the minimum count last year I'd figured out this whole write a 20k story thing. Not so much. The nearly 10k I have hasn't even let the boys leave town yet.

So yeah, it'll get done and hopefully for this, but if not, I'll still write it because I kind of love the idea a lot.

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I am still in love with this threesome!
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: I'm on scene 5 of a projected 14. Clearly it's going to have to be cut down a lot if I want to actually make the deadline. I think it will still work, but be less fleshed out than I hoped.
Anything Else: I just added an extra scene that ended up being a reworking of one of the episodes, which was really fun! Most of the due South plot has been offscreen thus far, so it was fun to explore some of my ideas about how this AU is slightly different from canon.
