Current Fic Word Count/Podfic or Vid length/rough percentage of Art created: Nothing new to report: All three podfics are drafted, one of the little ones is close to done with editing, the other two need editing. It is too hot to lock myself in a closet with a computer whose fan goes crazy when I use GarageBand under normal weather conditions.
Character/Pairing: Fraser/Kowalski

Anything Else: I need to block out some chunks of time to get the darned editing done, taking upcoming travel into account... Where has the !^@*# summer gone fer cryin' out loud?

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: The interplay of historical details mixed with ALL THE FEELINGS.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: After three weeks of living with and writing with bghostin England, I'm now back in the States working with her in cyberspace rather than IRL. Missing the IRL proximity and immediacy is painful.

Missing it too, Ride. Word count so far, 10,200 and something.

Sounds like you two made great progress, and had a lot of fun working together IRL - awesome!

*cheers you both on*

Glad the beta you got was helpful, even if it means a lot of re-working. VERY glad you aren't burned out!

Soooooooooooooooo looking forward to seeing this!

BEST character/pairing. =D =D =D

I'm sorry you're having to rework a lot of it, but I'm so glad you're still in love with the concept and excited about doing it. And not just because I really REALLY want to watch it. ♥

First draft of podfic is DONE and is with beta!

Temeraire fusion fic is currently at 16,650 words, and I am worried it won't actually get to 20,000 words. Will see what beta says, and if I can expand anything without it feeling like filler, or not. If it ends up as less, I'll post it to the AU challenge instead.

Woohoo for podfic progress!!!

And That's a GREAT word count for the fic. Even if it doesn't end up being posted here, it sounds like we'll get a nice, long new fic to read, so YAY for that!

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I think I managed to get some humor in amongst the angst.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: I keep forgetting to add Dief to a scene! (Maybe he's time traveling. Dief! Dief! Hey, where'd Dief go?)
I think the only explicit sex scene I'm writing is in a dream, the real one will be 'fade to black.'
Anything Else: I feel really anxious about this. Feel cut off from any community. I don't know, sometimes I just want to blow the breeze about writing, or have some small DS question, and there's no central place that I can find to 'meet' anyone who knows what I'm talking about. (whine, whine)
I also signed up for another BigBang and, for my own sanity, I think I need to back out of it otherwise neither that or this one will be completed. Okay, complaining is over.

I found this grisly Inuit tale that is just perfect: ". . .so Sedna attacks her father who then throws her over the ( ... )

18k - EXCELLENT! And omg I hear you about Dief - "So where is Dief, exactly?" was my beta's comment last year more often than I'd like to admit. He's wily and sneaky!

You can always post questions to the main comm, or ask for first/beta readers, if you want someone to check in with. have you tried that?

In conclusion, that Inuit tale sounds epic and perfect and I kind of want to read it a lot. As well as your fic :)

I betaed for someone last year and ran into an "Dief - in and out of the scene " problem. Where's Dief? I have to think of him as a third character, not a wolfie who makes a smart-ass remark whenever I remember to write him into a scene.

I am CONSTANTLY losing track of Dief. *shakes head*

I'm so sorry you're not feeling plugged in! There's one more chat on August 3rd. Hopefully that day/time will work for you. But if you want to talk to anyone before then, you can always post to this comm. I think it's set up so a mod has to approve a post, but we'll do that as soon as we see it in the queue. You're welcome to post with a specific question about your fic, or a general "ugh, anyone else having a problem with ___", or a "hey, i'll be on skype today, anyone want to come chat?", or even just a "please send hugs and cookies, i hate everything" rant. The people on this comm are AWESOME resources and terrific pom pom shakers. Let us know what you need and we'll bend over backwards to get it done. =) And once we're a little closer to the finish line, we'll start putting up f-locked weekly rant/rave posts where people can complain about things and cheer for each other.
