Current Fic Word Count/Podfic or Vid length/rough percentage of Art created: um... 1200 words, all of which date from the day I first got the idea for the fic.
Character/Pairing: Vecchio POV, Fraser/Kowalski
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: I had this really vivid idea for a scene, and I wrote it, and I'm very happy with it.
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: That scene is the only thing I have written so far! I can feel that it's going to be a long, long story, but as for the specifics of what actually happens in it... yeah, that's pretty vague right now.

Yeah, I feel your pain on that one. You're actually ahead of me in both word count and number of scenes written. We have plenty of time though, and an idea to start from. We can do this! *\o/*

What I Like About the Fanwork so far: That I actually have: a title, summary, chapter title ideas, vague plot outline, POV, and the first and (possibly) last scenes started. This is unprecedented
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: No TIME. I need to rewatch and get inspired. After this weekend, some RL commitments will be gone, which should help free up some time.
Anything Else: This is dark, which is kind of intimidating. And in a different way than my other HI stuff is, so that's sometimes a hard headspace to want to go to. But I LOVE the idea, so I'm excited to see how it plays out.

*fistbump of time crunch* It sounds like you actually have an awesome start here. Beginnings and endings are your thing, and I'm sure if those are set all the rest will fall in line. Let me know if you want company for rewatch or brainstorming. I'm happy to visit that dark place with you. =)

*fistbump* I will definitely take you up on rewatch - just gotta get some freaking time *eyeroll*

LOVE that you will happily follow me down that dark, dark path

Current rough percentage of Art created: uhm... 10-15%, maybe *handwave*
Character/Pairing: most of the dS cast. As ROBOTS.
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: How easily some of the translation from person to robot has been, including really rough sketches of their final "pose." Despite the percentage I listed, I feel like I have a good grasp on how a big chunk of these are going to look. Plus, I am totally in love with the concept. *happysigh*
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: I need MORE TIME. And to figure out exactly what settings a few characters need to be in.
Anything Else: I'm having trouble letting go of reality (and ooh I am using that term VERY LOOSELY). Like, I have to remind myself I don't need to be Tony Freaking Stark and know HOW these work, just make them look cool. And vaguely plausible. Right?

Woohoo! These sketches were so cool to see - I can't wait to see the final versions!

Oh man, you had to mention Tony and his bots. Now I'm picturing RayK as Calcifer the toaster and my head is exploding from the awesome...

Thanks! And yay Tony and his bots! *pets them*

OMG RayK is *perfect* as Calcifer. Only now I' also envisioning him as Calcifer in Howl's Moving Castle, and I do not have time for that bunneh!

Current Fic Word Count/Podfic or Vid length/rough percentage of Art created: Not enough.
Character/Pairing: Fraser/ Ray K
What I Like About the Fanwork so far: The story that I imagine is good - but can I put it on paper, so to speak?
What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: I allowed myself to get distracted by writing 500-word drabbles but on the other hand that's good training for writing more succinct chapters. (I tend to ramble and go off on tangents)
Anything Else: I'm the last-minute kind of writer which means I do well under pressure - but that doesn't mean I'm very fast at writing. Someone can kick me into gear about now, please. I have been doing fanart for a bunch of people but it's time to stop doing that. I can't believe the date. I need to set goals. Where's my calendar?

Having a good idea is a great start! I feel you about needed to set more concrete goals - I'm in the same boat. We can do this!! *\o/*

Okay, I just drew out a calendar. I need to complete each chapter in under 2 weeks to meet my goals. This time I plan to //really// complete each chapter as I go along or else there is a lot of refining to do, and if I have to do a lot then I end up rewriting it. So keep it simple and get it done, right?
I'm going to add reminders to my ipad calendar LOL
Maybe I'll set up a google calendar to pester me, too!

That sounds like a great way to keep on track, and your goals sound totally reasonable! I still have another couple weeks until RL stops being completely bonkers, but after it settles, I'll probably do something similar. We'll get it done!

What’s driving me nuts about the Fanwork so far: Trying to make this thing fit into a coherent timeline is IMPOSSIBLE. Also I don't know how to write sex scenes.
Anything Else: I am scared of how long this fic is going to end up being. It's supposed to span September-April (ish). I'm currently in October. At 14k.

Wowza!! You're really rocking it out! Yeah, since you were specific about both ideas, we put both into our giant happy spreadsheet. I'm very excited both ideas are working out!

To be fair, I had a lot of the fic written before sign-ups.

Also, YAY! Thanks for being flexible! I hope I'm not being too optimistic...

It all counts, so long as there are 20k words that you haven't posted anywhere else when you reach the finish line.

You can do it!! *\o/*
