I spotted you a typo. At the very end of this post you have station_1 instead of platform_1 or station_5.
Rule #11 says you can deduct points. I know it's the sort of thing you need in the rules just in case it does happen, so you can say it was always an option. But I'm wondering when/if you plan to deduct points from a whole team instead of doing something to the one person breaking the rules.
2. Yeah, it's mostly a just in case-type thing. It probably won't happen, 'cause I don't want to punish an entire team for one person. But if it did, I imagine it'd be for something that multiple team members are responsible for. Or if Longbottom is a dunderhead and adds the porcupine quills before taking the cauldron off the fire.
Someone told me about this and I'd love to get involved, but I do have a query first, and my query is this - are you expected as a participant to get involved in every challenge? I'm not sure how many challenges there are per round (tried looking but as I'm not a member of any of the comms yet of course cannot see old posts for info!) so sorry if this is a bit of a vague question, but I wanted to check before I applied, as there are some things (like graphics making!) that I could totally not do and would hate to get involved and commit myself and then find out I was expected to make graphics and should have told you earlier I couldn't!
Does that makes sense as a question? I'm writing this far too late at night, it's really foolish, but I want to get involved asap if I can and thought I should check at once! Thanks for the help! :)
That question makes a lot of sense. (So much that I'm going to add it to the FAQ.) You are not expected to participate in every challenge, just a minimum of one a week. It doesn't matter which it is. We try to have a lot of different kinds of challenges, so you'll have several choices, and you'll be able to participate here without ever doing graphics.
I hope that helps. (And I hope you join. It's a lot of fun.)
There are, but you don't have to enter them, because there are plenty of other challenges. We always have at least three going at once--one fic challenge, one graphics challenge, and one game or puzzle. You don't ever have to write fic if you don't want to. :D
