This movie was the hardest to review of the set I've seen recently. I really wanted to like it, and there were a couple of really good performances. I haven't seen this movie, and after reading your review am inclined to skip it, but I do enjoy movies and cable television original series in which the villain and the "good guy" pursuing the villain are both complicated and not completely good or evil. I'm thinking of the Showtime series "Billions" in which the billionaire fund manager Bobby Axelrod (played by Damian Lewis) suspected of insider trading is charismatic, loyal to his employees, and a good father and husband, and the U.S. Attorney pursuing him Chuck Rhoades (played by Paul Giamatti) is an obsessive who is sure Axelrod is guilty despite an absence of evidence. Axelrod is a rags to riches golden boy, while Rhoades is a child of privilege with a dark side. Have you seen it?
