I stumbled across an old DJ's From Mars mix that got my music juices flowing. We'll revisit several favorites and guilty pleasures here

While I was never particularly moved by "Barbra Streisand", "Big Bad Wolf" still remains a powerful earworm (and unique video). This has concluded the entirety of my Duck Sauce experience.
Since they were pretty much on tour the moment they became a band, you can track how the song "I will wait" developed. "Nothing is Written", or "Untitled", until they finally sorted out a chorus catch-phrase, and making it less dirge-y, to make it into a song even M&S haters kinda like.
Their strength is really Mumford's voice, which is too de-emphasized in this mix. (Also, they're better live. Remember that I had no opinion of them until I saw them at Red Rocks. Pre-recorded synth stuff would break their rock-folk vibe. Although, now that they're on "hiatus" and not constantly on tour for the first time since most of them were teenagers, who knows what they'll be like when they come back.)
And, I don't know that I'll ever really be able to enjoy easy-listening station style horns. I was fascinated when Trent did a similar sax solo during the NIN-Bowie tour, but... I think because it was showed his versatility more than anything else.

I also think part of the problem is that I conflate "Barbra Streisand" with "Frank Sinatra" by Miss Kittin and The Hacker.

Most good bands are better live. I will see if I can find other mixes that use the voice more, but there just aren't a lot to choose from.
