huh. both remixes of the Ladyhawke piece are fun enough but they all remain a little too...bland I guess would be word. Loved the Moby/Lynch piece. The repetition makes me think of Philip Glass, but I mostly like Glass so that's a positive (once upon a time I was running an overnight crew at Borders and put in a Philip Glass opera [Ahkenatan] to listen to. That went over...poorly.)
I liked a couple of the longer pieces on your last update- the album length Chromatic and the one with the Dr Who lead in.
Glad you liked it. MizA and I were both remarking that the S.S. piece was sort of bland, but I thought it was interesting to compare against the original.
I thought you'd pick up on the Taha mix, as you were the one who got me started on him a couple years ago, iirc.
I had not thought about the Lynch-Glass comparison but I guess I can see it. I'm not a big fan of Glass, especially in quantity. I can see how playing a whole album would've gone over poorly, yeah.
Wont lie- by the time I got to the Taha piece I was nearly asleep and partially drunk. But upon a second listen, I like the remix. Still like the original better but the remix is a fun riff.
