 - I rarely feel this way so I figure I should record the fact that I do.  For some reason when I walked into my house this afternoon I had this really good feeling... this "I love my house" feeling.  I'm usually really good at finding reasons why I hate my house, but for reason I really like it today ( Read more... )

I'm pretty sure there's a lot of caffeine in the decaf at Starbucks. I've switched to a tall half-caf Americano, which is supposed to have 1/4 the caffeine of their drip coffee, and I still get really woozy if I drink it without eating a lot beforehand. Even when I get the decaf I get slightly woozy.

yeah I think I'm best to just avoid their coffee altogether, especially since I don't usually drink regular coffee there, but Mocha (which in the normal caffeinated version has 3x the caffeine as normal coffee). The $4/cup pricetag is another good reason to avoid it.

What's weird is I can drink a regular mocha on an empty stomach and not feel as woozy! I'm not sure why - guess it's the whole fat milk. Anyway, the $4 price tag is way too much! I spend $2.11 when I go to Starbucks, but I stay a few hours and get work done, so I think it's worth spending $60 a month for having an office outside of the house. My biggest $ waster is still my cable.

true. I went there a lot more when I was working on my book and needed someplace where I could focus. I hadn't really been there in about a year until this week. I've had a friend back in town that's been out of the country for the last year and he's a Starbucks-a-holic so we always end up meeting there and hanging out.

I always do a fat-free mocha so maybe that's part of why it hits so hard.
