It has been a lonely summer. So contrary to my writings, it's not *always* awful *all* the time. =)
Next week I'll get to meet with those surgeons and learn the true severity of my hip problem, and for better or worse, that will at least provide me a bit more peace of mind, through better understanding. And afterward, I will still meet this girl from Australia, not quite in the way that I'd hoped or pictured it, but still, at least I'll meet her.

Most of the time you can't solve a problem by throwing money at it, but sometimes if you throw some love and ingenuity at the same time, it works out. I wish things were easier for you, we all do.

Sometimes I really don't know if medicine is worth it... it seems like the side effects outnumber the pros.
And I have to say, that even when your entries have a bit of soulcrushing news, I thoroughly enjoy your writing style. If you ever wrote a book, I'd buy it, haha.
I'm sure that when your friend comes (came?) you would still manage to have a good time! How could you not have fun in Seattle? I've never been there, but it's definitely on my "Top 10 List of Places to Go When I Win the Lottery and Travel Profusely."
And hey--even if life sucks, at least we live in an age with videogames.
