I was working in Ma’am’s garden early this morning; the air was almost cool enough to frost the breath as I pulled the spent squash plants from the earth and shook any surviving squash bugs from the softening stems (squishing the bugs adamantly, of course.) The Rube Goldberg bean towers are still producing Blue Lake beans,
