The way things are going,  I'm not going to impress anybody with my culinary skills. I had to work late tonight so I dropped by my favorite "fast food" drive through and picked up some El Pollo Loco marinated, grilled chicken. Since I had to share, I got the four piece meal (dark meat) with the traditional Spanish Rice and Beans on the side and ( Read more... )

That looks fantastic.

Every time we cook chicken or hamburger, Quincy sits on the fridge and makes inquisitive sounds. We usually cook some up for him because of this :)

I totally understand. I can't open a can of tuna without being swarmed and usually have to do two at a time so there's enough left for my tuna sandwich. I am so PW'd. ;)

I am all in favor of supremely simple meals. And El Pollo Loco sounds wonderful -- I've heard of them, but haven't ever been to one myself. (California only?)

Love the small army of little cat bowls.

I think EPL is California only and for awhile it was only in So Cal. That was one of the main reasons I didn't want to move north when my company relocated ten years ago. ;) If I could get the marinade they use, life would be complete.

Love the small army of little cat bowls.

For my small army. :)

I think you're winning this food meme as you are clearly cooking for the largest family. We don't have El Pollo Loco here, but I rather wish we did as I love the name.

Looking forward to pasta night!:D

Just finished with dinner and will be posting the exciting results in a while.

I'll add "Eat at El Pollo Loco" to the itinerary for when you and Mr G make it over to the States.

It has been entirely too long since I've seen an El Pollo Loco. We have Taco Bueno here, but it's just not the same. ;)

Looks delish, can't wait to see the pasta.

I feel sad for places that don't have El Pollo Loco. One year I went there for lunch so often that the manager would start keying in my order when he saw me walk through the door.
