Oh my gosh, how cool! I think you need to quit your job and draw Order of the Phoenix comics for a living. Although I would suggest selling them for more than a quarter. ;) Seriously, this is awesome. What a terrific birthday present for ladybracknell.

The R/T community is so lucky to have you.

Do you think anyone would notice that certain characters are missing...like everyone except for Remus and Tonks? LOL

Ah well, that's just the flist price.;)

The R/T community is so lucky to have you.

And I love it here! I'm just glad that I can contribute more than just the odd review or meme. In fact, I see that I have some lunchtime reading to do over at your journal. Alright!

I wouldn't notice anyone was missing!

That's very sweet of you to give us an f-list discount!

There's reading at my journal, yes, but it might take a little longer than a lunch break, lol. Although now there's a comic which won't take but about two seconds and just makes your art even more impressive by comparison, lol.

*is speechless due to awesomeness*

Oh wow. Seriously, wow. I can't stop looking at it, and I think we should both quit our day jobs and move into the graphic novel business full time. You've made the story look so cool. This is really amazing - I love the way you've really made them look like action heroes, and I love how the colours fit the mood of the story.

I just really don't know what to say. You've certainly taken the edge off turning thirty, lol.

Thank you so much :D. This is a really wonderful present. I want one for my wall, lol.

It would certainly be more fun than drawing yet another palm tree or sailboat for the people who vacation in Florida.

I'm so glad you like it. It was fun to do and I got to play with some Photoshop filters I hadn't used before. If I ever do my original plan of making this into an actual multi-panel piece, I may want to collaborate with you on dialogue and such.

I just really don't know what to say. You've certainly taken the edge off turning thirty, lol.

Happy to be of service. I hadn't known it was such a milestone of a birthday. 30 ain't so bad. Your body doesn't really start to hit the skids until 40 so you've a good decade ahead of you. Make the most of it!

Thank you so much :D. This is a really ( ... )

I keep expecting to freak out about the 30 thing, but just... not. I think with the aid of mellow lighting and only fleeting scrutiny, I can still pass for 28, lol.

Will gladly help out with dialogue etc if you ever want to return to this - I daresay my long run-on sentences would be a graphic artist's nightmare.

That can be arranged. :) If I can remember to stop by the local Kinkos and see what they have to offer as far as nice paper and such.

Oh, really? That would be beyond awesome.

I'm having a much better birthday than I anticipated :D.

LOL. I did find myself stuck a few times trying to condense the dialog into something workable without it taking over the illustrations...or rather, very rough sketches.

I have been thinking for some time about allowing flisters to buy prints of my art but I just haven't gotten off my tush and down to Kinkos to price it out. Maybe next time I go to the petstore on a supply run, I'll stop by. I have access to a really nice color printer at work but I'm limited to tabloid size paper and would love to offer them in a larger, more art gallery-style size.

Oh, my goodness, that is fantastic! Awesome does not do it justice - I love the super-hero look too. Perhaps the Fantastic Two as The Fantastic Four are so naff?!

Mr Gilpin thanks you for your good wishes, is very chuffed with his icon, and now has a very snazzy dark blue Quiksilver t-shirt, which I rather like for myself. He also got to see your art and was very, very impressed.

As am I.:D

(Very handy he got to see your art as we're decorating...;))

I loved the F4 as a kid but not enough to want to see the recent movies. Good thing too, apparently. ;) If it wasn't already being used, I'd vote for The Dynamic Duo! Should I put a big R and big T on their jumpers or leave that to Molly?

I'd let him wear it awhile before you start laying dibs on it. ;)

After I finished Lady B's art, I took a look on my calendar to see how much time I had before the next flist birthday. You can imagine my relief when I found out that I have until September to finished mrstater's much put off bathtub piece. Yours is in October, correct? I'd like to read through your stories and find something to illustrate, as I have yet to do so and that's just not right. Perhaps you have a particular ( ... )

Definitely do not bother seeing the FF films. First one was dull and the second dire; Mr Gilpin was most disappointed. As was I who had to sit through them as well.

I like to think that at some point, Tonks is going to treat Remus to a dark blue or black Quiksilver jumper, and he'd be completely mortified if Molly attempted to obscure the logo in any way. Not that that would stop her!

It is in October. And thank you, I'd be honoured and absolutely thrilled to bits.:D Can I have a think and come back to you? Though someone did suggest in a review recently that Snape and Sirius dancing from Glass Slipper would make a good picture, which is an awful thought! Siriusly, or snapely, I will do some thinking about Remus and Tonks scenes while grinning ( ... )

Thanks for the warning. I'm unsure whether I want to see the live action Speed Racer movie coming out this summer. I loved that show as a kid but I'm afraid that the movie is trying to take itself seriously, and I think that's a mistake. Then there's John Goodman as Pops, which just isn't working for me. Thank God, Indy is coming to save the summer movie season!

Perhaps I could work up a logo incorporating R & T together in some super-heroesque way?

Oh my goodness, this is incredible!! I loved ladybracknell's story, and how fabulous to see cover art for the "graphic novel" version!! I really love the bold, comic book colors, and the warehouse in the background is perfect. The fact that Tonks is looking behind her really lends the work a depth and three-dimensionality (if that's even a word, lol). And of course Remus looks like a complete badass. Erudite, intellectual, and poised, but still a badass. ;) And I adore that he's holding her elbow. Just gorgeous! This made my day, and it's not even my birthday. :D

PS - Thanks for the flist discount. ;)

Wasn't that story great? I really want to illustrate the duel between Remus and Snape!

According to the story, Tonks was supposed to have stumbled after Apperating and Remus caught her arm to steady her but I found some reference with that pose and it does make her look like she's got his back and I iked that idea better for the art.

Remus = Badass. :)

PS - Thanks for the flist discount. ;)

My pleasure. Course, that's only for the cover. Should I ever add any inside pages, I may have to raise the price. Unless I can get some advertisers to cover the cost. ;)

I don't know what's happening with LJ but I still haven't received your post by email. I was just happening by and noticed that the number of replies had increased.

Anyhow, thanks for the kind words. It certainly is fun to play around with Remus and Tonks. How's your SWS story coming along?

It's been bitty for a few weeks now with the old notifications.

SWS has stalled a bit. I've not made it easy for myself with the way I'm going about it, so I'll just have to accept that it's going to be slow progress and hope I finish it sooner rather than later!
