Went to Zeitgeist last night with dougygyro. Had beer, burgers and tamales. Then went over to blackrose900's place and watched TV.

I uploaded a newer version of that song. I like this one a lot better.

So I wrote a new song. Some of the transitions are a little wonky, and I definitely need to re-record the solo, but yeah. I like where this one is headed at least.

I made another half-song. Maybe I won't completely kill this one so quickly?

Well, I think I'm finished. Still needs a name, though, and maybe lyrics. But at least now it sounds like a real song.

So I actually wrote a song. Or half of one, anyway; it still needs an ending [done] (and probably a pre-chorus and a better chorus lead [done], for that matter) but I'm pretty proud of what I have already.

So I ordered a bunch of stuff off musiciansfriend.com. Picks and strings and crap mostly; I did get a mini-amp so I don't have to haul out my huge-ass Fender thing when I want to mess around. I considered getting an effects peddle or two, but I couldn't quite justify the cost just yet.

I'm kind of impressed with myself; I almost have an entire song written, in 3/4 time, no less! I've got a pretty good intro, a main riff, and a chorus riff. All I just need a bridge and a coda.

And, you know, words. And some other band members, maybe.

Christ, my hand fucking hurts.

I picked up one of these today, along with a new strap, amp cable, and a cable that'll hopefully let me interface my guitar with my computer.
