Not taking either, but I just wanted to wish you luck at Manoa. My brother went there before transferring back to the University of Hilo on the Big Island (where the family is) because he couldn't handle the large class sizes. That, and he's a small town guy and the traffic nearly killed him in Honolulu.

I hope you do better than him, though. Because I know that when he moved back, they didn't offer the same classes and he had to change tracks and tack on an extra year because not all of the classes transferred.

Anyways, just because I am a curious person - will this be your first time in Hawaii, or did you visit before?

My brother was the same. Like I said, the classes were to big and all the people stressed him out - on top of that, it was the first time he'd ever really been away from the family, and in his second year of school there he started to fall into depression. Mom went over there, saw how he was living (which - wasn't that great), and pretty much forced him back home - not that he fought it much. He graduated from Hilo, got a good job, and is the happiest I've ever seen him - so, it all worked out.

May I ask what you're studying? I'm going to Hawaii Community College (though my classes are on University of Hilo grounds) for business classes. My brother was studying Entomology - study of insects and all that - before he came over to Hilo, where he had to change to an Agriculture track since they didn't offer that degree.

And don't be sorry for rambling - I do the same. We can be ramblers together! *shutting up now...*
