American Beauty

Has anyone on here seen the movie "American Beauty"? My film teacher was talking about how awesome it is, and he was going to use it as an example in our lesson. He was about to spoil some major part of it and a bunch of people shouted out "no!" Apparently there is a big twist and the movie is amazing. Should I see it?

By the way I bought Evil Dead and Evil Dead 2 today but ti pisses me off that they don't go by their original theatrical release names

it's a great movie. but i was unamazed by the 'twist,' it's not like the way fight club has a huge twist, but it's still fantastic.
