Notes from the underground

It's June. The show's in October. We are to open for a band from out of town and a continent or two away. I think it's their first US tour. We're minus a drummer, but we have several leads. I'm the new guitarist, and I've spent the last two months learning the set plus some songs for the new album (the ones that have been written - about half ( Read more... )

I used to play drums, but I'd prolly need a week of solid practice to get anywhere, and I don't have a kit either.

Not that dropping a couple G's on a midi-kit wouldn't fun anyways :)

I think we'll end up making the set, but I've learned I don't have the adventurous nature that makes me relish having 35 days to get 10 songs down tight enough to play out.

I didn't know you played drums. Are you interested in playing them again? Rob and I were playing together (we went on indefinite hiatus last spring), and we want to start again with a new drummer.

I've been thinking about playing again, but then again I'm doing a lotta stuff too heheh.

I'll buy a digital kit and see what shakes out in a month or so :)
