Civil rights.

The fact that California just gave chickens rights while taking them away from gays sickens me.

I know, I know. It turns my stomach.

I'm moving to Massachusetts. Gay marriage, and now decriminalized pot.

+2 liberals for SCOTUS = Same sex marriage rights nationally IMO.

The Equal Protection Clause applies just as much to sexual orientation as the other protected classes. SCOTUS will uphold this now, as it always should have. The end is in sight.

This is my hope, as well. As frustrated as I am with Prop 8 and its bretheren in other states, I have high hopes for them being repealed up the chain.

Even when the constitution is amended for profoundly bad things, it can be fixed. After all, we did it with that pesky "slavery" thing.
