Izaya wobbled on his feet. He felt like crap. Not an emotional kind of feel like crap--he never experienced that before. No, it was the kind that came with illness. His body felt heavy and all he wanted to do was curl up and sleep. It didn't matter where.
When Shizuo went to eat Russian sushi that day, he found Izaya curled up in the alley beside the place. He looked almost like a kitten.
Shizuo couldn't keep the small smile from his face. Izaya looked so peaceful and innocent like that. In his sleep, the information broker looked so much more gentle. It was hard to believe that this was the same person who bounced around slashing a knife around.
And then Shizuo threw a vending machine at him, nailing the still figure dead on.
When Izaya woke up later, he felt even more like crap. More like crap, a little bloody, and sticky with Coca-Cola.
"Shizu-chan, you bastard."
He texted Shinra for help. And then Izaya went back to sleep.
“Shinra?” Izaya’s weak voice barely formed the name as he lay in bed. He was positive he has texted the doctor before passing out. The last thing he remembered was lying against the wall outside the sushi place. His head ached, his pulse pounded and the sheets he lay on were drenched in sweat
