We had a relaxing time in Lanzarote, and now after the shock of returning to work after a week off (and a work email inbox that went from 9% to 84% in 5 working days!), I've now got round to posting some of my photos from the island on Flickr. Go Look

Amazing place! I love that house!

Everyone I know who goes to Lanzarote goes thinking it'll be trashy (when really only Playa de las Americas, Puerto del Carmen and maybe Costa Teguise are that bad) and comes back in love with it. The power of preconceptions, eh?

To stay, anywhere in Yaiza and south is wonderful - I like Playa Blanca for the beaches and Timanfaya for the lavascapes.

We have a friend that emigrated there a couple of years ago, to help her fibro, and she loves it. We were supposed to visit her in April, but I wasn't well enough to travel, unfortunately.
