I've updated my profile.....Droxy did the original as she got me in LJ......
It was somewhat difficult for me to do the update, but here it is. Hope it's Okay.

To me, it seems that not so long ago, a young boy(age 9) was laying on his stomach
reading Sunday comic when the radio announcer stated that "The United States military
installation on Pearl was bombed by the Japanese." I was in school on Monday and
the school had a loud speaker in each classroom and we all heard President Roosevelt's
Address to Congress.

Ah.... Dear One, First, let me say that it is, indeed, quite a story that you shared here. I was in the 11th grade and getting on the bus leaving school when I heard that President Kennedy has been shot. Like you, these moments remain like clear snapshots in our minds..... frozen in time and space.

If you want to write more about yourself, and I hope that you do, you might try going to the top left of the screen to "Post an Entry". That way, those who have "friended" you will have a new post to read and may even respond with more comments.

Of course, if you are simply wanting to be on LJ in order to keep up with your daughter, I can well understand your reasons.
