I really LOATHE facebook. Hoever Google beats it by two hairs. Facebooks maybe slow, but google -does- something to my PC.

I do not understand why folks are on google. It is the evil empire in cahoots with the govt. They make my evil corporation look like angels and that's saying something.

I'm sorry if you are getting a lot of Goodreads notices. I'm trying to scan in my books. I have a lot of books. Someday I will do the ones without barcodes.

You cant delete facebook, or google, really. In this facebook is nastier. Facebook created accounts from public domain data (meaning govt records, tax records, realestate records, white pages, etc). My best examples of facebook evil are my father and my brother. At leas dad has a computer. Byut my brother does not. Yest, he has a facebook presence. He never uses computers or iphones for the net. He is "off the grid".

Google wants my "full name" well THEY made me select droxyy with 2 Y's. Although I am sure google knows my facebook and vice versa, they just have to let the machines guess.

Although you can delete the FB account, it's still there.

What do you recommend for free email? I use gmail, but perhaps shouldn't...

It's old, but it works.

I love facebook, it's the only way I can keep the social life current, it's great as a social calendar, and I save the more in depth posts for here.

I got 100 emails yesterd from one misty con post. I endend up deleting them. People tend to use facebook like chat.

I have way too much social media, =(

But I use it ti keep track of misti-con.

It's a social calendar and a great place to just have fun. LJ is more of for the "keeper" posts and more in depth conversation
