It’s supposed to be Kim versus Jung. Not Kim loves Jung.
- i “Yunho.”
“What’s up, Hyung?”
“Stop seeing Kim’s son.”
“Which Kim’s son?”
“You know who I am talking about.”
“Do I? I am not sure anymore.”
“Yunho.”
“Hyung.”
“You will not maintain any kind of contact with Jaejoong.”
“Oh wow, you said his name and your tongue didn't burn out? I was sure his name was like venom.”
“Yunho.”
“See you when I see you, Hyung. I have school.”
“Take care of your arm.”
“Yunho!” Heechul almost punches the air out of Yunho when he rushes to hug him.
Yunho lets out a loud laugh and pats Heechul. “Careful! Arm in a cast.” He says, lifting his arm up. Heechul chokes up when he sees the cast. “Who were they? Give me names, I am going to get them killed. I have contacts.”
“I am so glad I am in your good books.” Yunho grins, squeezing Heechul’s hand. “And don’t worry about me,” Yunho shrugs. “It’s gonna take more than a couple of guys to get me killed.”
The duo walk into their classroom and everyone falls silent when they see Yunho at the doorway; Yunho amusedly looks around. “Oh c’mon guys, don’t be so shell shocked.” He says, rolling his eyes. “The least you can do is welcome me and thank God I am alive. Unless of course, all of you wanted me dead.”
His classmates burst out laughing and all of them crowd around him, talking to him and making jokes. All of them but one.
“Can we write on your cast?” Hyori asks, pulling out her pen readily.
“Oh sure, go ahead.” Yunho smiles, holding his arm out.
“Kids, what’s happening?” Their homeroom teacher walks in and stops midway when she sees Yunho.
“Oh, Yunho! Welcome back! You recovered early from that nasty accident.”
Yunho shrugs. “I am a survivor.”
“I am really glad you’re back.” She smiles.
“Would you like to sign my cast, ma’am?”
“Sure.” She says, borrowing a pen and writing a message on the student’s cast. “Okay?”
“Alright, everyone back to their places - I need to take your attendance.”
“Ma’am?”
“Yes, Yunho?”
He walks up to her desk while the others take to their seats.
“I can’t really take down notes.” He says, lifting his right arm. “Do you think it would be alright if I take the notes from someone?”
“Oh of course!” The teacher smiles. “I am so glad you are back, Yunho. A week without the class president and everyone’s going crazy.” She chuckles. “Now, I am sure anyone would be happy to sit with you. Why don’t you - “
“Jaejoong.” Yunho says loudly. “I would like to sit with Jaejoong.”
Jaejoong, who was happily napping and minding his own business, looks up and stares at Yunho, quizzically.
“Are you sure, Yunho?”
“I am positive.” Yunho replies, looking at Jaejoong.
There’s a distinct sound of murmurs that runs around the class as Yunho walks up the last seat and smiles at Yoochun. “If you don’t mind, Yoochun.” Yunho says. “You can sit on my seat.” Yunho points to the empty seat next to Changmin’s.
“Uh.” Yoochun licks his lips nervously and looks past Yunho. Changmin is pulling the chair back and leaning back on his own as if to say, come here, I dare you.
“Sure, no problem.” Yoochun nods his head and picks up his bag.
“He’s crazy.” Yoochun mutters softly enough for only Jaejoong to hear.
“Thank you so much, Yoochun.” Yunho says as the shorter man walks past him to sit next to Changmin.
“Hi you.” Changmin says, watching Yoochun sit down.
“Stay on your side of the table and I might not break your face.” Yoochun says, clearing his throat and pulling out his notebook.
“I love it when you play hard to get.” Changmin says with a wide grin.
Yunho settles down on Yoochun’s seat and pulls out his book and slides it towards Jaejoong.
“Write my notes for me.”
Jaejoong frowns.
“I don’t remember ever agreeing to be your slave.”
“Write my notes for me, please.” Yunho says, not even glancing at Jaejoong.
“Go piss yourself.” Jaejoong says, pushing the notebook away and putting his head down on the table.
Once their teacher is done with their roll call, Yunho orders the students to greet their teacher and the moment she’s stepped out of the classroom, Heechul walks up to Yunho.
“Are you out of your fucking mind?” Heechul snarls. “Get up and come sit with me.”
Yunho looks up at Heechul and smiles. “No.”
“What do you mean, no?”
“I mean no. I want to sit here. I have more space here at the back to move my hand around so, no. I am fine here, thank you.”
“Yunho, if either of your families found out that you are sitting next to each other - “
“They won’t now, will they?” Jaejoong speaks up, resting his head on his hand. “If Yunho wants to sit here, then he will.”
“Since when did you become Yunho’s mouthpiece?
“Since when did you become Yunho’s bitch?”
“There is no need for name calling.” Yunho tries.
“Step out, Kim. Let’s take this outside.”
“I don’t fight with the inferiors.”
“Pussy.”
“Yes, I am so insulted.”
By now, everyone in the class has their eyes on Jaejoong and Heechul. Yunho leans past Heechul and looks at Yoochun with pleading eyes. Yoochun nods and briskly walks up to Jaejoong. “Jaejoong, come on.” He says, pulling Jaejoong by his arm.
“Yeah, go hide with your pathetic boyfriend.”
“Watch your mouth, Heechul.” Jaejoong says, standing up and freeing his arm.
“Or else what are you gonna do?”
“Heechul, enough.” Yunho stands up and pushes them apart. “You should know better.” Yunho scolds staring Heechul down. “And you,” He turns to Jaejoong angrily. “Take a walk.”
Jaejoong scoffs; “As if I am going to listen to a Jung.”
Yunho stares at Jaejoong.
“What…did you just say?” Yunho mumbles, turning to face Jaejoong. “What did you just say?” He pushes Jaejoong slightly. “I dare you to say it again. Look at me, look at me in the eye and say it again.”
Jaejoong takes a deep breath; “Fuck off.” He says and brushes past Yoochun and walks away.
“That bitch.” Heechul mumbles under his breath and Yunho glares at him. “Don’t you dare.” He says and follows Jaejoong out.
“Stop following me.”
“Stop running away from me.”
“You are only going to get us more in trouble.”
“Jaejoong!”
“What the fuck, Yunho?”
Yunho says nothing, as he grabs Jaejoong’s hand and pulls him towards the stairwell.
“Leave me - “ Jaejoong struggles but Yunho just pushes him in and shuts the door behind him.
“I swear to God, you are going to be the death of us.”
“Us.” Yunho hums, cornering Jaejoong. “I like the sound of that.” He says, leaning on the wall.
“Why do you get so hyped up, huh?” Yunho asks, taking Jaejoong’s hand in his and running his fingers across Jaejoong’s knuckles.
“I hate Heechul.” Jaejoong says softly, his head hanging low and fringes covering his face. Yunho chuckles and pulls Jaejoong towards him.
“Were you jealous?” Yunho asks, nuzzling Jaejoong’s cheek.
“Shut up.” Jaejoong says, smiling.
But his smile falls the moment he sees the scars on Yunho’s face jaw and neck; “It was a bad accident wasn’t it?”
Yunho shrugs carelessly. “Nothing I can’t handle.”
“You must hate my family.” Jaejoong says, running his fingers over the scars. Yunho snorts; “I am sixteen, Jaejoong. I don’t know anything. We are way too young to be bothered about this.”
Jaejoong smiles, pinches Yunho’s cheeks and pulls him closer for a kiss. Yunho welcomes Jaejoong’s lips happily and fists his hand through his uniform blazer.
“Nice move with that Yoochun Changmin thing though.”
“I know right?” Yunho says, pressing for another kiss.
“Bad move, sitting next to me.”
“Please, your heart was beating so loudly I could hear it.”
“It’s not that, Yunho. That teacher talks to my mom and your sister-in-law.”
“I don’t fucking care.”
“I do.” Jaejoong says, kissing Yunho’s scars. “I really do.”
