Those pictures fill me with glee, because it means that mine should be forming scapes soon. As it is, they're taking over the greenhouse.

Indeed. As far as I know, they will flower year-round in their native eastern Australia. Mine, however, did decide to wait until there appeared to be sufficient mass, much like what I've been told of Utricularia menziesii, which won't flower from seed for about ten years until after it's produced a colony of 5-6 tubers.

By the way, if I haven't given you enough thanks as it is, I'm doing that lecture on carnivores tomorrow, and I'm giving you a ridiculous amount of credit for what I know about Stylidium. I wish that the both of you would be able to attend, but there's always next time, right?

those are pretty cool looking. the only plants i have are a small rose bush, an orchid, a bromeliad and an anthurium.

i love how the tentacles look like glass. beautiful!

I was thinking some about plant morphology recently, and I also happened to have watered my lithops last night for the first time in about three months, so you = really exciting! I hope you do not mind that I have added you to my friends list.

That first plant is sort of terrifying in a really pretty way.
