As to the whores of the theatre I mentioned a few posts ago - in the Consoloation of Philosophy, Boethius warns against them. I don't remember much more than that, but that's what brought them to mind.
Have a great trip! I'm excited for you, know that long trips help you relax and unwind. And I think that the uncharacteristic revelations of the depth of your thalamic-induced pain in your LJ are a good thing. The worst I've had to endure is migraine -- a few hours of agony every month or two or so -- and I can't imagine what daily pain on that order must be like. . . especially when it's catalyzed by simple, desirable social interaction and conversation.
Keep up the great writing. Have a tremendous trip. Post lots and lots of pictures of Utah urinals and pretty privies.
