I've been watching Game of Thrones with Purple Dragon ever since she came back from work.
Man this series is insanely good. And I get my Sean Bean fix which makes me happy indeed!

Definitely read the books after you finish the first season! Second season is just one week away, you might want to read book one and two just to get every information before the premiere!

Does Season One finish up at the end of Book One?
Because I've been told that the show has a tendency to jump around between all five books dependently. Plus I REALLY, REALLY, REALLY love the show and all of its characters. So I may stick to watching as much of Season Two as I can, lose my patience, and start reading Book One for the lulz. XD

Season one is ONLY about book one. The one that told you that is a troll because they haven't jumped anything. The series is actually named after the fist book. The second book is all that is going to happen in the second season. Trust me, they received an A+ adapting the books to the screen. I love it.
