I've watched the first episode directed by Don Coscarelli (Phantasm series) and written by Joe R. Lansdale (who wrote Batman the Animated Series episodes which included The Mad Hatter, Ra's al Ghul, and The Ventriloquist). Twas alright. Could have done without the unnecessary lewd parts. But the ending scene really screams Ventriloquist mentality all over it!

Oh! I've been meaning to watch this. Makes me miss my stored away VHS horror collection, hell, it makes me miss horror period. I haven't watched much horror in quite some time.

One horror movie that has really captivated me recently was "Last House on the Left" (2009). It's mostly just the scenery, the beautiful surroundings, the ambiance ... and then just plain out horror and gore. Now that I think about it - a lot of the scenery reminds me of some of the photographs you'll take on your nefarious journeys. But yeah- aside from a rather lewd scene that seems never ending, I love the environment of the film which generates the perfect setting for a horror.
