Thanks for posting this at 'jack_sparrow_oc.' This really is very good. Perhaps you might consider posting it at 'pirategasm' as well. This fic is head and shoulders above some of the fics I have read there. The more great Jack/OC fics out an about, the more we can break down the stereotype of all OC's being Mary Sues. If you did post it at another comm, you could advertise 'jack_sparrow_oc' by saying that you had cross-posted it to it. That would be one way of advertising ourselves.

I'll only be too happy to post/cross-post this to other comms; to be honest, the only reason I haven't yet was because I (rather cowardly, I admit) feared the Mary-Sue brigade, (or whatever it is that passes for one). So thought I'd 'test-drive' it in jack_sparrow_oc, see what kind of reaction I'd get first. But as you, not to mention all the other lovely people, have posted such encouraging comments, I'll only be too happy to cross-post 'Creature of Habit'.

LOL thanks for the offer, but so far I have received nothing but niceness. Once again, glad to hear that you like Beth; who knows, I might expand on her one day...

Yet another (slightly stupid) question: although your comm is called 'jack_sparrow_oc', are JUST Jack/OC romance fics allowed, or can anything involving Jack and an OC be posted? (I'm curious, as there's a plot bunny involving Jack, his daughter and his hat lurking menacingly in the background...)
