In my world history classes we're talking about Medieval Europe right now. Today was all about kings, knights, serfs, and all that fun stuff. So as the kiddies in 5th period were starting on their writing assignment, one of them asked me the craziest, funniest question EVER!! Here's the dialog

I was pretty shocked when he asked too -- He's one of the (relatively) quiet ones who you wouldn't expect something like that from. I guess his curiosity overcame the fear of asking the question.

There's a long standing story that the word stands for For Unlawful Carnal Knowledge, too. But according to multiple sources, it goes back to a Germanic root (Dutch and Norwegian have similar terms) and possibly all the way to Indo-European, though the exact root word is unknown.
