No more Rocky Allen Showgram

I was shocked when I heard the Rocky Allen Showgram got canceled. It was my favorite radio show. I need something to cheer me up. *surf web* There's really a Magneto! Watch out if he starts his own army! Ok, I feel better now.

Race Taylor presents the ABSOLUTE BORING RADIO PROGRAM EVERY DAY.
There is no longer a reason to listen to PLJ.
Mannagement - ownership really blew this one.

Are you really the Rocky Allen? If so, it honors me that you'd comment on my blog. Also, please let me know when you're back on the air (even if it's on another time zone, I'd listen via web stream).

It breaks my heart that I can't enjoy listening to PLJ anymore. I actually went back to using my iPod in my car to make the commute a bit more enjoyable. I had a similar experience when I was laid off a while ago; they told me I was laid off an hour before my shift ended, and that the following day would be my last.

I really enjoyed listening to the Rocky Allen Showgram on WPLJ. Why were they taken off the air?

When I was listening to the Scott & Todd show on that Monday morning, they said Friday was brutal with a cost-cutting measure by parent company Citadel. I listened to Race Taylor in the past, and his current program on Rocky's time slot is boring. Talk about budget cuts!

Hi,

Thanks for responding. At first I thought they got in trouble for saying something on the air. I find Race's showing boring too. I don't listen on my way home from work. I only listen to Scott & Todd in the morning. I think the radio station made a big mistake.

No problem. Scott & Todd is the most I'd listen to on my commute. Unless I'm driving late at night, I'd turn to listen to Christine Richie for 80's at 8. Other than that, I've went back to listening to WBGO 88.3FM Jazz on my evening commute (or any time during the day at work). Why couldn't they get rid of Race Taylor instead of Rocky Allen?

Come back Rocky and Blain! anonymous March 18 2008, 22:54:39 UTC
I am also very disappointed that the Rocky Allen Showgram was canceled and I e-mailed the station to tell them so. Race is very nice, but his style isn't what the loyal Showgram listers are expecting to hear. I loved the Showgram bits - Dick and his mom, the Name Game, Bible or Babble (and I was getting really good at that one, figuring out Blain's "style" of gospel!). I also loved Rocky's laugh - listening to it would make me laugh even if I didn't think what he was laughing at was funny! - and when you would sometimes hear hints of Dick's voice when Rocky talked. I hope they're on the air together somewhere again. If it's not around here, then I'll listen online! Bad move by PLJ!!!!
