just various rantings

* Reggie White is NOT a hero. He was a friggin football player, AND he
was a bigot - since when does that make someone a hero?

* I don't care about football.

* If {insert cubicle neighbor here} are such an expert on what the coach
is doing wrong, then why aren't you a coach?

* In fact, I really hate football.

That is all.

bulky men in slightly see-through pants bending over so you can see their jock.

I like football.

Reggie White was a football player for several teams, including the Green Bay Packers. He was pretty instrumental, from what little I know of football, in the Super Bowl victory that Green Bay had a while back.

Reggie died last month and he had a hero's funeral - flags flying at half-staff, etc.

But he made some controversial comments about his own race and about gay people. This tells the story:

Amen....

As much as I love Madison, the one thing that irks me - and that I thought I'd escaped when I left Pittsburgh - is the football-as-religion thing. People were actually near tears on Monday at work after the Packers lost. I mean, give me a FUCKING break, you know? When 150,000+ people are killed in a tragic way, it hardly seems important about what an overpaid athlete did or didn't do.

Besides, hockey players are WAY cuter. 'nuff said.

Football as a religion.

... and I'm an atheist. :-)

I agree!

After last Sunday's game, particularly, we had to endure 2 days of follow-up news coverage about the game. All we've heard about this week is Randy Moss and his attempts at getting attention.

I will be so glad when football season is over!

When i sat in your area (actually across the hall), Tom and Denny would drive me insane with their Packers and Cowboys talk. Great people... but i don't get football (having been forced to play it growing up)and agree about white.

Armchair coaches are tiresome.
