Billy was out for a run, the exercise keeping him warm despite the chill. He spotted Dr. Covington and decided to risk the possible damage to his sanity by talking to her.

Ahahaha, that sounds awesome.

"Melinda Pappas, my research partner," Janice explained. "Sweet girl, brilliant with classical languages, but zero backbone and not enough common sense to be let out on her own." Her tone was affectionate despite the words.

"He was trying to charm her, and there was no way in hell I was losing my linguistics expert to that crazy bastard."
