The last member of Janice's party, who had 53 hit points left, got hit with a seventh-level fire spell for 1064 points of damage and died in a brilliant conflagration.
"Oh, for pete's sake!" she exclaimed, tossing the controller into the air in disgust and spinning around in her chair.
Just in time to catch sight of the visitors, naturally. "Yeah, whaddya -- can I help you?"
Luckily Janice had figured out just this morning how to pause the damned game. She hit the Start button and turned around cautiously.
"That I do," she answered slowly. You had to tread kind of carefully around grandparents, she'd noticed. "She's definitely one of my less troublesome students."
