Urban Fantasy Hero

Urban Fantasy Hero is one of the two projects I'm doing layout on for Hero Games. This one was about 80-90% done at the time their previous art director passed away... The cover was part of the not-yet-done work that's fallen to me.

Here's a peek at the current working version.

Pretty much. Not only that, but HERO books look and read like textbooks. Literally. Very big, lots of pages, lots of math, all crammed in tight.

It's not particularly *inventive* in its design factors, but it is chock full of content. :)

How do the rules differ from Fantasy Hero (or, well, just regular HERO for that matter)?

Hard for me to say. I'm not a system expert on this one.

Nice cover!

If it were me, I might try a version where the author name and title were the same width, to try and balance the cover.

Yeah, I did in one direction (making the title bigger), but that blocked out some details I didn't want blocked out. I'll tinker and see if I like the look of pushing the author name over to the right and making it smaller, but I might not -- looking at the cover design for an earlier product of theirs, Post-Apocalyptic Hero, the title's asymmetric and the author name's symmetric, so there's at least some precedent for hitting it this way.

Looks nice!

And since I can't find my login for the Hero boards -- thanks for agreeing to help!

The one thing I've wanted to buy from Hero in a while(I own everything from the company up until about 3rd edition Champions.RIP Justice Inc.),would have your earmarks on it.
