that's right je pourrais aller à Paris!!

it is more attainable than i thought (not counting the thousands of dollars i need)

but still, nothing a loan can't take care of.

how could i pass up this opportunity?? 5 weeks in paris in the summer??

i will find out if i have been accepted in about a month.

cross those fingers.

Putting yourself further into debt is a bad idea, especially if you are already in debt.

Sure, going to Paris sounds pretty fucking RAD. And I'm detecting you going for some smart kid program? Sound Super Fun Time awesome.

But putting yourself further into debt is a bad idea. Believe me, I KNOW.

I'm digging right now, and I'm not that far into debt.

ya it seems like a bad idea, but in reality it's really not.
every college graduate i have talked to says their biggest regret is not studying abroad and every college graduate that did, says it was the best experience and worth every penny.

i have though about it for a long time, the money. and i work very hard. in school and at my job. so i will not let the fact that i have to take out school loans get in the way of something i want really bad. by the time i am out of ucsd, i will probably already have about 10 grand in school loans, what is another 2 or 3? i don't want to regret not taking this opportunity (if i get accepted).

also, im pretty sure a $100ish/month school loan payment won't put me back that much :)

ana, this is a once in a lifetime experience for you. i definitely regret not studying abroad while i was in college because it's not easy to do something like that once you graduate. just seeing how much it changed heidi's life & other people that have gone, i really don't think this is something that you would ever regret doing. it's an educational experience, that's why colleges recommend so strongly that you go.

paris would be so exciting!! i would come visit you!! i hope you get accepted!! fingers & toes & eyes crossed & double crossed!!!

if you go, can I maybe go at the same time. It doesn't have to be like a trip together...if you don't want...but if you do want...then maybe that'd be cool...just saying.

Im crossing my fingers for you! Just like Amanda said, this is such a once in a lifetime experience! Ian loved his time abroad, and wouldn't have changed it for anything, and so did Heidi, and Im sure Nadia and Vanessa did as well, right? And yeah, you might have to take out a loan, but what would you regret more? Having taken out some money that you can and will pay back? Or never having experienced living in another culture in such a beautiful city when you had an opportunity to do so? So I think you should do what it takes and GO! And bring me back some shoes and clothes.

Also, I would try so so so so hard to go visit you if you went.
