Seventeenth Drift

*Julius is standing on the outside of ID1 in a normal suit with magnetic boots staring at the stars. He is next to a block of ice latched to the side of the station that he has started chiseling, though it seems halfheartedly. There are a number of other blocks of ice arranged in a quite organized fashion, though they look absolutely untouched.

[Katina floats by in her Gespenst, having returned from routine something or other - even saving the world with galaxy sized manifestations of fighting spirit doesn't get you much of a break.]

*Julius is momentarily surprised at Katina's interruption.*

Oh, it's something that me and Setsuna learned how to do but never got around to actually completing. I figured after yesterday, it was a good way to unwind.

I don't think I'll really be unwound for the next week.

Yeah I know what you mean. That was... terrifying, exhilarating and awe inspiring all at once. Having all the power at one's fingertips, but knowing our enemy has the same power and knowing that the slightest misstep could bring our own disaster on ourselves.

Did you have the urge to do anything Katina? While you could do anything you wanted? Did you have the urge to do something that didn't have anything to do with the battle? Anything you might... regret had you actually done?

*Julius shrugs.*

Yeah, but I could care less about that right now. I was doing this to do it, and because it's a way to unwind, not because I expected it to last any length of time.

*He looks at it. It's still mostly a block of ice.*

You know? I have no idea... I might actually build a room around this area and pump air into it to make a more permanent ice garden later. As long as I don't attach it to the heating system, it should remain cold enough to keep frozen.

To be honest I have been thinking more about what happened yesterday than the ice.
