Right. So, the Andro Shield was held in this ruin called the Serpent's Coils (apptly named, seeing as how it twists and turns on itself). We ran into another rival Drifter group. They called themselves the Schrodinger Gang. Their leader is some blond chick, and boy, does she like to play dirty. Plus, she's got quite the mouth on her. Insulting ( Read more... )

These three shields are sealing away a powerful weapon capable of cutting away all life. Virginia feels its her solemn duty to stop Janus from getting his filthy paws on the Eternal Sparkling Darkness.

So you're--

Eternal Sparkling Darkness? Are you serious? I've never heard a more idiotic name...

I'm what?

Yeah, it's a weird name, believe me, but you can't judge these relics by name alone.

Of course, slamming into the stone floor at high speed (with a girl on top of me) isn't exactly my idea of a fun time.

Hee!

If you're going to slam into a stone floor at high speed, a girl is one of the better things to have on top of you.

I hope you aren't too badly injured. At least you saved her, right? And you got the shield.

Not really. Her added weight is probably what broke my ribs instead of just bruising them. God, that girl's always causing me trouble.

I'll be fine. I heal pretty quickly. Not like I'm gonna waste some Heal Berries on a few cracked ribs.

It's better than a sharp blade, or some giant monster's appendage. I suspect it's also better than a collapsing roof.

...hmm. Here, broken bones would always be a reason to go to a hospital. Your healing ability must be pretty impressive.

That's true. My luck may be bad, but not that bad. For now, at any rate ...

I'm guessing your hospitals are more advanced than ours. Most doctors are willing to make house calls. It'll still take me a week or two to fully recover, but Virginia insists that I let Gallows work some of his healing magic on me.
