Don't make me get my dictionary and grammar books out on this one, of I can give all the possibly histerical versions of this line!

*hides* I'd have thought you, Saz and Becs would take one look and demand to know what on earth I thought I was doing, bastardising the Egyptian language like this ^_^;; I'm sure Mark and Snape would be so proud of me >_

I know the last part spells birthday and I know the first part says Happy (hapiy), I know there's the word for nile in the middle somewhere...

you'll have to translate the rest for me ^_^

Yay, you got the fact that I'd spelt "birthday" phonetically! ^____^

Gonna translate it later, I want to see what other people come up with first ;)

It says "Dria spent entirely too much time sketching the glyphs from the inside of her Birthday bag"

And where's the reed? I like that one!

Second row, seventh sign from the left. That's a reed. I said I'd studied hieroglyphs for three years, I never claimed to be any good at drawing them!

Icon FTW.

And is the "reed" the one that looks like two upside down gimp see-saws? (The one to the left of the man worshipping UFOs) Or is it the one that looks like an oven mitt with a "hot" symbol above it?

Personally, I like the prissy boobie bird on the second row, first one :-D

No the reed is the tall thin one. Going from the left hand side of the second row you've got an owl, an arm (yes that's an arm!), below the arm is a mouth, next is a tree (I'm seriously not making this up), then it's a rolled up and tied papyrus, a leg and then the reed. After the reed is another mouth over a small semi-circle, an aerial view of a typical house above a oven glove hand, two more arms, a man worshipping/adoring and then the aliens.

There don't you feel knowledgeable XD

*laughs* That's too awesome.

So, I'm gonna have to go with "Nagayan is gonna bake Tuti some birthday cookies in Nile Blue"

yeah, I'm craving cookies

*is shot*

Close! It actually reads "Nile Blue - Happy Birthday!" (because the Egyptians used spaceships as exclamation marks, obviously ^_~) and look, as if by magic, chapter twenty is up on TxN!

*runs off to church for the second time today*
