Shame about the octopus. But yes, I've heard that they can cross dry land on their own as well, can't they?

yup - the one I saw I suspect had been stranded in a rock pool by the retreating tide, and was making a dash for the water, but they have been known to hunt crabs out of the water

Neat video. :) I suppose it's not so different from air-breathing land animals going underwater when you think about it.

What is it with people aiming the camera everywhere but where the action is as soon as (and ONLY as soon as) there is action? :P
