Miralda the cat is back home - apparently she was a model patient, which is just as well. I can't see either of the other two putting up with the examination, shaving, or surgical prep. Tiggy would have snarled and probably bitten, and Jiji would have just struggled violently on principle ( Read more... )

That is one unimpressed kitty. (I once had to try to remove a shunt like that from our family cat, Zaphod. Much growling and failure. Took the vet three seconds.)

Insure your pets if you possibly can, pet owners. Frankus' cancer set us back at least twelve thou. By the time I got my finger out, it was too late to insure him for illness. Thankfully, Tim is fully paid up, but is also healthy as a small orange horse.

*nods* Miralda's a wonderfully good-natured cat though - even here, she was purring. Didn't even struggle as the vet shaved her cheek. But she did give me a warning poke with her hindpaw as I tried to hold her down and give her her meds. But even that may have been accidental.

I normally send chin-skritchies to cats, but just in case it's still sore I'm sending gentle pets instead.
