Those are great!
Do you happen to know how those goggles compare to the ones that Harbor Freight has? Harbor Freight's are cheaper, and look pretty similar, but when I tried them at the store they seemed a bit too flexible.

It's looking like over all? These substitute goggles are all flexible. Out of the bag, the pair I bought were downright floppy pre-paint. If you can get them cheaper at Harbor Freight, I'd do so.

Sanding and painting the pair I had actually helped to stiffen them up a bit so they're no longer floppy--they hold their shape far better without getting TOO stiff (I'd be worried at that point that the paint would start cracking off).

While it'd be nice to have some solid, hard plastic ones, the flexible pairs work well and finish nicely nonetheless.

Looks great! Mine are still not done, but I've got another idea to throw out there in case anyone wants to try it too - for the band, I took some cheap white elastic from Walmart and colored it with black and red Sharpies (I'll probably go over it with black one more time to make it a little darker):

Looking good! I may follow up with that as well (won't change my price tag bottom line, I seem to already have elastic, and I KNOW I have Sharpies everywhere).

Great data. I spent double that on goggles plus shipping for mine >.< but I still haven't painted 'em yet and your tutorial is nice and simple :)
