Seconding -- for a last-minute job, that looks bloody fantastic. I admire your dedication, and the results are great. (And Hannah-resistant? Damn. Again, dedicated.) Please do update with more pictures when you get 'em!

(Hey, I'm told that sleeve method is supposedly the ideal way to deal with the presser foot vs. feed dog tension. It's totally not a shortcut, it's just awesome. It's never given me the pain and accidental tucks of the 'regular' method.)

Thanks. There was an AARP convention at the same hotel, and most of them thought it was some kind of weird rain gear.

Awesome job. I'm about to start on my own lab coat using the same pattern this weekend.

For the under-flap on the front... did you use anything to secure it on the left side, or just buttons on the top flap at the right shoulder/side?

I found that since the under-flap only went about 1/4 of the way across, it stayed just fine without any extra help.

And I guess the fabric was thick enough to not show through the top layer?

The top panel was the only one that was lined for that reason. Although a real heavy twill would probably be fine with unlined.
